Rav Hen - Movie Theater
Rav-Hen is an Israeli brand of multiplex cinemas. It belongs to the Cinema City International group, and is located in Dizengoff Square, in the middle of Dizengoff Street, in the heart of the city. Rav-Hen is where the most popular movies usually play, on one of its six screens with 1394 seats. Most films are not dubbed but some of the children movies are, so it is advised to double check before buying a ticket. Within a short walking distance from the Tel Aviv hotels area, you will find next to the cinema several eateries of international brand names alongside local food stands. The Dizengoff Square is a central site in the city, which is not far from many Tel Aviv hotels and has some attractions to offer besides the Rav-Hen cinema multiplex. In the middle of the square you will find a famous sculpture created by Israeli artist Yakov Agam. This artifact is actually a fountain with a moving display of fire and water and sometimes even music.
Dizengoff Square hosts twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Creative Artists Fair. The event features local artists' work in wood, metal, glass or ceramics as well as jewelry, painting, sculpture, New Age items and crafts of all kinds. The atmosphere is lively and friendly during the fair, and it is certainly an event worth visiting while in the city.
Rav-Hen cinema and Dizengoff Square are located at 16 Ben Ami Street, a 5 minutes' walk from Adiv Hotel. The official website does not contain an English section, but you can book your tickets in advance by calling +972-3-5282288. Tickets are priced NIS 35 ($8-9).
