Restaurant
Mel & Michelle - Italian Restaurant
Mel & Michelle is a small and intimate Italian restaurant in the northern part of Ben Yehuda Street. Every little detail was given notice there, so when looking for a quiet and romantic atmosphere to accompany some fine Italian cuisine, this may be your perfect dinner choice. The restaurant's design - wooden floor, old fashioned wallpaper and few Renaissance-style oil paintings – adds also to the appearance of an authentic family-owned Italian restaurant in Florence or Rome.
Run by the promising young chef Nir Wayman, Mel & Michelle is one of the finest options in town for an Italian dinner with a Mediterranean twist. Dinner opens with simple but satisfying country-style breads served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The menu offers a wide variety of first and main courses, including pasta, Gnocchi and meat.
Mel & Michelle is a very good option for vegetarians, too. Many of the menu offerings include vegetarian Gnocchi, pasta and some great Antipasti. These dishes, as well as the entire menu, represent some of the place's unpretentious charm - meals are not too complicated to understand (neither digest), yet they are tasty, accurate and rewarding.
The service in Mel & Michelle is pleasant and accompanies your Tel Aviv night out perfectly. The wine list includes several Israeli boutique wines and foreign wines as well in reasonable prices. An important tip: be sure to try one of the deserts, which earned their reputation throughout the city since the restaurant opened up, less than two years ago.
Mel & Michelle is located at 155 Ben Yehuda St, 5 minutes' walk to the north from Adiv Hotel.
