Lilenblum Street –The heart of the drinking culture of
Tel Aviv
The Lilenblum Street area offers a wide selection of trendy bars, making it the beating heart of the drinking culture of Tel Aviv. This leading nightlife area is located in the southern part of the city, between the end of Rothschild Boulevard and the Neve Tzedek neighborhood.
Lilenblum 22 is one of the less fancy bars of the area. It is a small bar that plays trendy music rather loudly, making it hard to conduct deep conversations. Younger crowds often go there in groups to drink and cruise for company.
Abraxas (40 Lilenblum St.), still popular in spite of its relative seniority in the street, offers aside of bar and lounge services a unique experience when it comes to live shows. It has become a venue where young, unknown artists come to perform and you can get to know these future stars free of charge.
Another place where live shows are offered for very low prices is Tsuzamen, at 25 Lilenblum St. It hasn't been open for a year now, and has already become a "home" for young Tel Aviv artists and their rapidly expending audience.
Shesek and Mishmish (17 Lilenblum Street) are two well known bars that are located next to each other and share the same owner. Shesek is intended for the younger crowd and its music is mostly trendy, while in the more mature Mishmish you can frequently enjoy some wonderful Jazz-filled nights.
For those who consume a lot of alcohol, the Lilenblum Street area of course has many restaurants and diners, and it is easy to find something to eat even in the middle of the night, to dilute your blood a bit.
Of the many Tel Aviv hotels, Adiv Hotel is located in a relative proximity. Even though it's possible to walk the distance, it might be advisable to take a bus or a shared taxi to and from Lilenblum Street. As many Tel Aviv hotels, we are open at night time and will welcome you back once that you've had enough to drink. As every Tel Aviv hotels, we also offer a wake up call service for the morning after, just in case you're having trouble waking up…
