Gymnasia Bar

In recent years, the northern part of Ben Yehuda Street has become one of the nightlife centers of Tel Aviv, with many new bars and dance-bars opening. The trendiest bar in the area is the Gymnasia bar, which is packed with people every night of the week and is considered as one of the city's major hotspots, with its great decor, handsome crowd and sexy atmosphere.

When visiting the Gymnasia bar you can feel the owners' efforts to combine a Mega-Bar air with a neighborhood bar feel. The result is a large yet friendly place where you can either drink with friends or look for some new companion. As part of this "warm feeling" agenda, there is no electronic music playing, and the playlist consists of mainly of Hip-Hop, R&B and Rock during weekends as well. Prices are average compared to other bars in the area (which means quite expensive), and on the alcohol department there is a wide selection of imported brand names.

Bare in mind that Gymnasia bar is a very popular place, so there is a line of people waiting to go in from a pretty early hour and the place tends to be quite packed, so if you are looking for a quiet night out, this is probably not your perfect choice. On the other hand, if you are a Mega-Bar fan you must visit the place. Be sure to bring your ID, because the doorman tends to be selective when it comes to men, and no one under the age of 26 gets in.

There are many other bars in the area if you arrive at the Gymnasia bar too late or have no patience to wait, though if you will, you are in for quite a night, guaranteed.

The Gymnasia bar is located at 77 Ben Yehuda Street, few minutes' walk from Adiv hotel. Opening hours: Sunday-Saturday 20:00 until the last costumer.
