Dizengoff Center Cinemas
If you can't go through the week without catching a movie or two, of if you need to sit for a bit after walking the streets and beaches of Tel Aviv or an extensive shopping spree at Dizengoff Street or Dizengoff Center, consider relaxing in front of some quality entertainment in one of the two multi-screen cinemas which are located inside the Dizengoff Center complex: Lev cinemas & Dizengoff.
At the basement of Dizengoff Center (close to gates 3 or 7) you'll find Dizengoff, an independent cinema offering a daily art-house selection of foreign films, dramas and comedies on its three screens.
Lev Cinemas, located at the top floor of Dizengoff Center, has earned its reputation for its eclectic taste for foreign and local films, showing daily on its 5 screens. The Lev Cinemas films may be a bit more 'mainstream' than those showing in Dizengoff, but you have a better chance to watch some of the top Israeli films there, fiction or documentary.
Both theaters present digital projections with advanced sound system. English subtitling are available for most films, but you might want to call the box office to double check in advance. Hebrew dubbing is limited to children’s films, but the undubbed version will usually be shown in the same cinema.
On both ends of the Dizengoff center, at the entrance to both movie complexes, you'll find concession stands with popcorn and soft drinks.
For movie show times, check out the local newspaper or ask for translation from Hebrew as updated websites are still all in Hebrew.
