Bugrashov Beach
Bugrashov Beach is a central beach popular among tourists and residents alike. The beach is open all year long, and offers lifeguard and first aid services during most of the winter as well.
Getting to Bugrashov Beach is quite easy, as many bus lines stop nearby and several parking lots are available in the area. The entrance to the beach is free of charge, and so are the pretty well kept showers and toilets. The beach offers sun-tanning beds and deck chairs rental as well, for an average price of 12-20 NIS during the bathing season. Although the beach can be pretty crowded during high season (July- August), it is one of the most popular locations for some beach action during the summer.
Bugrashov beach has one main eatery - Bugrashov Beach Bar - which is popular during summer months, when it stays open until late at night and hosts local DJs. Bugrashov Beach Bar offers outdoor tables and its menu includes cold drinks, alcohol and snacks. At night candles are spread along the beach and on the tables, adding to the friendly laid-back atmosphere which keeps it a popular hangout for young tourists and locals.
Just across from the beach, in the west end of Bugrashov Street, you will find the London Garden (or London Square). In the center of this lovely small garden is a monument of a ship in memory of the illegal immigration bringing WWII refugees to Israel towards the end of the British Mandate period. The monument includes written stories and pictures of the early immigration period, and it can be an educational stop on your way to or from the Bugrashov beach. Many coffee shops and restaurants are spread around the region, as well as many small designers shops along Bugrashov Street, which is quite chic.
