Azrieli Observatory - Panoramic views of Tel Aviv
A great observatory awaits those who visit Tel Aviv and wish to enjoy the spectacular views of the "white city" from above. The observatory is located on top of one of Tel Aviv's highest buildings - the Azrieli Center at 132 Menachem Begin Street.
Azrieli center is the biggest commercial center in the Middle East and one of the most popular shopping malls of the city. The highest observatory in the Middle East, Azrieli observatory is situated on the 49th floor, and is open for visitors who wish to witness the amazing panoramic views stretching from Ashkelon in the south to Haifa in the north.
The entrance to Azrieli Observatory is via the third floor inside the Azrieli mall, from which visitors are taken up in a fast-speed elevator to the 49th floor. Up there telescopes and audio equipment can be rented to intensify the experience. Other attractions include a 3D film about Tel-Aviv, an audio guide describing major landmarks, temporary art exhibitions and a one of a kind restaurant - "2C".
Dining in "2C" restaurant (Tel: 03-6081990) is a luxurious Tel Aviv experience. The views from its windows are amazing, and the food served is considered a Mediterranean gourmet. This kosher restaurant is not cheap, yet the very special location makes it worth while, especially during the afternoon, when you can sit and just have a drink while watching the sun set into the Mediterranean. Another good option is visiting during lunch time, when a good value business meal is served weekdays. Sitting in "2C" restaurant at the Azrieli Observatory is unlike dining in any other restaurant in town. Just remember to ask for a window seat.
Azrieli Observatory is located few minutes by car from Adiv hotel Tel Aviv.
