Allenby Street

Allenby Street is one of the popular traffic centers of Tel Aviv, stretching from the Mediterranean beach on its north-western side to Ha'aliya Street, near Florentin square, to the south-east.

Allenby Street is one of the busiest areas of Tel Aviv. During the day it is an excellent location for discount shopping, offering just about everything imaginable - cheap clothing, second hand books in various languages, authentic food, antiques, cosmetics and jewelry shops, and much more. Think Canal St. in Manhattan, and visit its Israeli twin.

Allenby is one of those streets that never go to sleep. At nighttime, it turns into a colorful, happy and loud entertainment center, in which young people from Israel mingle with tourists to create a very lively scene. There are many nightclubs, bars (some offer live performances) and cafes along the street, especially in its western part, right next to the beach promenade. When walking down Allenby Street during these hours, one can hear the loud music and see people standing in front of the many lively bars. Two of the most popular bars amongst tourists are Joey's bar, which opens at 16:00, mainly for the sake of tourists, and "Cheers", where locals and tourists drink, mingle and listen to dark rock music.

Some Tel Aviv hotels are located right on Allenby Street. However, remember this area tends to be noisy and crowded, especially during weekends. As other Tel Aviv hotels, Adiv offers an easy access to Allenby Street by foot, yet is far enough if you wish to get some rest. Convenient transportation services by bus or shared taxis are also available. As in other Tel Aviv hotels, Adiv offers 24 hours reception services to welcome you back at any time, after another long night in the heart of the city.
