Tourists’ favorite bars: Mike's Place and the Buzz Stop

Mike's Place offers a very happy atmosphere and free live rock or blues music almost every night. On the outside there is a big veranda facing the sea where people sit, chat with each other and drink. Inside the pub a big bar is surrounded by tables, and sport fans watch the big screens. During important sport events, the pub is packed with drinkers – locals, tourists and travelers alike, and when favorite teams get the title, the drinking crowd can be seen from across the street, as happy faced people holding bottles of beer sing and laugh loudly. The bar is decorated according to traditional English pubs, with wooden tables.

Mike's Place was established first in 1992 in Jerusalem, and in 2001 it opened in Tel Aviv, next to the American embassy. From the outset it has attracted the most eclectic assortment of individuals – locals, foreigners, Arabs and Jews, journalists and diplomats, soldiers and more, all sharing the good vibes, music and beer.

The pub offers all kinds of breakfasts which are served all day long, quick American style business lunch, sandwiches, salads, Pizzas, Mexican and American food. Draught beer is available as well as breezers, wine and liquor. Mike's Place is located near the American embassy and many Tel Aviv hotels. Among other Tel Aviv hotels, Adiv is located close to the bar, in a walking distance.

Next to Mike's Place, there is another pub, very similar in its style. The Buzz Stop has multi-lingual stuff, international food and one famous English Breakfast. The pub is visited by many tourists, screens every major sports event, and opens 24/7.
